| 12-year-old Mexican Red-Headed Amazon Beautiful feather and extremely responsive to voices, noises and whistles, and he does know a few words. He came from California almost two years ago and is not settling in well in his new home. He is obsessed with the resident Blue & Gold Macaw and cannot be in the same room with him, which is a problem in a small house. All other birds he ignores. He has a fear of hands, but will sit patiently on a shoulder for as long as you’ll let him. He needs occasional beak and nail trimming due to Fatty Liver Disease; however, he eats, climbs and plays as if he does not have this problem.
